Kajang district police chief, Kajang ACP Shakaruddin Che Mood, said they were asked to move for their safety after the early afternoon landslide. “They were moved to a nearby community hall and the Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) will provide aid to them,” he told reporters at the scene today. He said the landslide was caused by heavy rain and land came down on three cars and a motorcycle.”Damage is estimated at RM70,000 and there was no loss of life,” he said. Shakaruddin said although there was a three-metre-high and 30-metre-long-wall behind the three-block five-storey flats it could not retain the land that came down. “The landslide affected Block B as it was nearest to the slope,” he said. Police, the Kajang Fire and Rescue Department and ambulances were at the scene on stand-by. Read More From The Aggregated KL News Category
