According to an article of The Malay Mail, Police rescued a 20-something woman from sexual assault when they arrested a robber, who had tied her up and was about to rape her in her house at Kota Damansara. A source said the jobless woman had just returned home at 6pm and had forgotten to lock her front door. The suspect, wielding a knife walked in. The woman saw the stranger walking in and immediately called her friend for help. It is understood that the woman’s friend contacted police. The suspect threatened the woman with a knife and she was forced to put down the phone. The suspect then tied her up. Luckily for her, a police patrol car arrived just as the suspect was attempting to rape her. The suspect tried to flee, but was arrested. Petaling Jaya district police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the suspect, in his 30s, has been remanded. “He has no prior record and we are investigating the case under Section 376 and 511 of the Penal Code for rape and attempting to commit a crime.” Arjunaidi said: “Some advice for the public.
