If you’re a food junkie and make the vicinity around Bukit Bntang, KL your little playground, then you should stop by Istean, Lot 10 and check out their new Foodmarket.

In line with the recent overhaul of Lot 10, their lower ground floor  –  which also underwent major transformations, will house stalls providing stocks of fresh produce, great tidbits (because we all need some fuel throughout the day!) as well as delicious on-the-go meals that you can grab during your lunch-break or for dinner. It’s a one-stop spot for all your gastronomic needs!

At the launch of the Foodmarket reopening event, upon arrival we were treated to the sight of a really big fish. 40 kilos of blue fin tuna to be exact!

As a special presentation, the master chef demonstrated how to gut and slice a fish properly.

Morbid fascination to watch. And despite the graphic display, it wouldn’t stop anyone from devouring those delicious tuna cuts when served.

For easier browsing, snacks, raw food and ready-to-go meals were all separated into their own sections at the food market.

Meals-to-go are prepared daily to maintain freshness and quality. 

If you need a little pick-me-up to get through the day, the desserts and tidbits stalls present will make for quite a treat. Also available at the Foodmarket is Royce Chocolates - which is said to be huge in Japan and Singapore.

After sampling a piece, it must be said that these rich, velvety-smooth chocolates definitely live up to their reputation!

But if you’re too lazy to get our of the house for a snack run, then you’ll be glad to know that from 10am to 6pm on Monday to Fridays,  Foodmarket also delivers to areas within the Klang Valley.
